Results from Parish Council’s Public Consultation

The results are in from the Parish Council’s Public Consultation on, amongst other projects, the future of the old ‘tip’ site. Here are the headlines

  • 86% respondents are in favour of the reopening of the FR household waste recycling site - 14% are not in favour
  • 83% support the Councils proposal to purchase the site - 17% do not
  • 82% accept and support the fact that the costs of purchasing and re-opening the site would increase the parish precept - 18% did not
  • On the basis of this widespread support the next step will be for the Parish Council to make a final go ahead/don't go ahead decision at the end of September
